Briana and Travis’ love story proves that timing is everything! Almost twelve years ago, they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. The two became friends on social media, but nothing more until ten years later when Briana noticed on Facebook that Travis was single and ready to mingle. In true social media fashion, she slid into his DM’s and the rest is history! Read more about their love story and check out their Winter Wonderland wedding day captured by NS Photobook.

Engagement story:
The most important part of this story is that Travis planned this in a week! He created a secret group on Instagram and coordinated it all with our friends and family. We were in Atlanta for a basketball tournament which also happened to be the same weekend as my birthday. The day before, he told me we were going to the aquarium. As we were approaching, I noticed the aquarium was in the opposite direction. He convinced me to follow him over towards the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and there were our friends and family holding up balloons that said “Will you marry me?”
From the Bride:
Anxious, nervous, all the feels! If there’s a bride out there that didn’t feel that, kudos to her for being able to really enjoy and relax in the moment. Truthfully, COVID was a big deal. We were originally supposed to get married in June but we decided to push it back due to safety concerns. Not knowing if a loved one would be unable to make it because of a global pandemic was pretty stressful throughout. But, by the grace of God we made it through and those we love the most were in attendance.
Big Day = 3 hours of sleep! I actually don’t remember going to sleep, but I’m being generous to my mind and body here. I specifically remember that I wrote my vows at 1am that morning. I waited until the moment when my heart was able to pour out raw feelings and emotions. Once the time came to walk down the aisle, I could not stop shaking. My dad was physically holding me up and I didn’t stop shaking until Travis took my hand.
From the Groom:
I was anxious leading up to the ceremony. I honestly couldn’t wait to marry my life partner and celebrate with friends & family. I felt that everything went according to plan and turned out amazing!
Your best/most memorable moment:
Bride: The prayer led by one of my bridesmaids along with when we had our kiss and the sparklers went off.
Groom: All of it, but specifically standing at the altar looking at my bride in her eyes.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
“You & I” by John Legend. We both cried. We got real life chills! That was all we needed.
Favorite wedding detail:
Décor! It was all white everything! The winter wonderland look that is pure white inspired me to do this for our wedding. With accents of gold throughout, this day was a beautiful winter wonderland celebrated with our closest friends and family in Florida.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Starting a family and building our future, together!
Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:
I have a ton!
1. Choose your vendors wisely.
2. Review your proposals and contracts.
3. Do what makes you and your future spouse happy.
4.This one is for the guests and probably the most blunt. It is incredibly rude to not show up to a wedding that you RSVP’d for without a valid excuse.
5. Wedding prices are double sometimes triple the regular event rate – especially photography and videography.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them a fruitful marriage and many years of wedded bliss!
