The Art of Elegance Styled Shoot in California

What do you get when you take a moody color palette, a serene location, and tons of modern decor? This stunning Art of Elegance styled shoot, of course! We love the combination of deep purple, grey, and black along with the complementing gold accents. From the ebony table linens, chairs, and candlesticks to the bridal bouquet, we’re sure you’ll be inspired to incorporate some of this theme into your wedding. Take a look for yourself with these photos captured by BYC Photography.

Erika’s Elegance Wedding and Events, an event planning company teamed up with a handful of vendors to bring this wedding styled shoot to life. Here is what they had to say about how they brought this styled shoot to life:

“We partnered with the Avenue of the Arts Hotel which is known for its modern artsy look and feel.  We chose a very moody color palette and we created a unique design which used various elements that incorporated different shapes and textures.”

Shoot location: Avenue of the Arts, Costa Mesa, California

Shoot theme/motif/inspiration: We called this shoot the Art of Elegance because we wanted to show that you can create an artistic design that can be very elegant.

Color combinations: Dusty purple, grey, black with gold accents

Favorite detail: The bridal bouquet was amazing and the black reception dress the model wore!

Décor Details

Linens: We used linen with a black shantung underlay and black sequins.

Centerpiece Description: We partnered with Enticing Tables a team of welders who create one of a kind unique pieces.  We chose black tiered iron bases that the florist adorned with candles, vases with florals and florals wrapped around the bases.  The types of flowers the florist used were in the darker tones and really added depth to the overall look at feel.

Place Settings: We used a black and white striped table setting trimmed in gold.  This was paired with black and gold flatware and glasses with gold to give it a little bit of  flair.

Stationery: Our invite was glass with gold trimmed and a hand-painted envelope.  The menu cards had a floral motive to pair with the elements that florist created.

Please share unique details from your shoot:  The black wedding dress was one of the most unique details.  I love the iron décor that was used for both the ceremony and tablescape.

We are in love with this gorgeous styled shoot! Let us know your favorite detail in the comments below!
