God has a way of leading you where He wants you to be in His perfect timing, usually during a time where you are on auto pilot with no plan in sight. Well, that’s exactly how LaPrecious and Jeremy’s love story went.
While attending Livingston High School LaPrecious and Jeremy’s paths crossed many times, but it never seemed like the perfect time for sparks to ignite. After graduating in May 2006, the two ended up attending The University of Alabama during the 2008-2009 school year but they did not meet until Fall of 2009 after Jeremy asked LaPrecious’ college roommate to give her his number. After a few days of phone conversations, Jeremy asked LaPrecious out on a date, but not being sure of where the relationship would go, they both decided to go their separate ways.
During the summer months of 2016, Jeremy began to consistently check on LaPrecious via Facebook messenger. Once LaPrecious became suspicious that one of her friends was encouraging the dialogue, she messaged Jeremy to ask if her friend had been reaching out to him and Jeremy reluctantly confirmed, while also expressing genuine interest. On October 19, 2016, they both decided to further explore the possibility of a long distance relationship, both having intentions of dating to marry. On February 14, 2022, Jeremy flew to Birmingham from Los Angeles for a surprise proposal to LaPrecious with the help of family and friends. She was completely caught off guard, but her answer was, yes!

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.
The day felt truly magical. It was the type of day you only envision in your dreams. It was as though God himself spoke to the wind and rain and commanded that they pause for our wedding day. It was so great to see all of our friends mingling and our families fellowshipping and becoming one.
Wedding song, and the significance of the song:
“So Into You”, by Jac Ross. I proposed to Precious on Valentine’s Day 2022 to this song. I completely surprised her with the help of her mom and cousin. When she got home from work that day, I was on bended knee surrounded by candles and rose petals with this song playing. We were definitely one of the 1st couples to use this song and just a few short months after the proposal, we noticed the song picked up more momentum and other couples started to use it as well.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Growing old and raising strong, intelligent, spirit-filled children.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them a lifetime of wedded bliss.
