Amanda and Omari are proof that sometimes a mutual connection can turn into a thriving romance. The two first met in 2016 at an event that their friend, Charlee, invited them to. They followed one another on Instagram not expecting much because they lived on different coasts at the time. However, in January of 2017, things began to get serious and the two decided to embark on a long-distance relationship. After one year, Amanda relocated to NYC, and their chemistry for one another has been unmatched ever since. Engagement Story:
I told Amanda not to make any birthday plans because I was going to make sure she had the best birthday ever. On the day of the proposal, the car service picked us up, and we made our way to Ocean Prime Restaurant in the Midtown area of New York City. After amazing conversation over an exquisite lobster tail, salmon, and cocktails, it was time for the big moment to happen as the car service picked us up and took us to the second location. As we pulled up to the destination, she didn’t know what was happening. In fact, I almost got cursed out for being on my phone to make sure the surprise was going smoothly. As we got out of the car, Amanda stopped and took a deep breath to keep tears from coming down. We proceeded into the venue and Snoh Aalegra’s “Find Someone Like You” was playing with a few of our closest family members and friends in attendance. I was able to deliver my speech and successfully get down on one knee, and the rest is history.
What makes your love special?
Our love is special because we have a chemistry and a bond that can’t be broken. We believe that the moment we mastered each other’s love languages and started to love without limits, it created a different kind of intentional love for us. It’s been an amazing ride.
What was the theme of your shoot? Chic Black Excellence.
Were there any memorable moments during the shoot? We got rained on, which we both took as a good luck sign!
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding? We look forward to a life-changing celebration of bringing together our families and sharing our love with them.
