In 2006, Gina and Paul met as legal colleagues, she was a new defense attorney, and he was a felony prosecutor. They never suspected that their professional respect would turn into a lifetime commitment. What began as a genuine friendship was transformed during a spontaneous trip to Nashville in 2022. Between the miles and the music, they discovered an undeniable truth: they were meant to be more than friends.
After a season of late-night calls and heartfelt persistence, Paul realized that the friendship he feared losing was actually the doorway to his forever. With three deliberate words—”I choose you”—a new chapter began. Today, Gina and Paul are proof that love arrives exactly when the time is right. They look forward to celebrating their union and a love that was always meant to be. On Christmas Day, among the presents beneath the tree, one especially large, heavy gift had Gina’s name on it. She imagined shoes, clothes, perhaps a stack of books. Surely a box that size couldn’t hold something as small as a diamond ring.
After everyone had opened a present, Paul insisted it was time for Gina to unwrap the big one. She pulled back the wrapping, opened the box, and found…several old magazines.
“Keep digging,” Paul told her. Beneath the magazines, Gina discovered a card with one unforgettable question: Will you marry me?
Below the big question were several answers, each beside its own checkbox—a sweet nod to the old-school notes a boy might pass to his crush, asking her to be his girlfriend. This time, though, the question was about forever.
Through joyful tears, Gina gave Paul her answer: Yes! The biggest box beneath the tree had held the sweetest surprise—and the beginning of their next chapter as The Loves.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
We’re most looking forward to standing together before God, our family, and our friends and beginning our marriage. After so many years of friendship, falling in love, and choosing each other, sharing that moment with the people we love will mean so much to us.
We’re also excited to share our story through the thoughtful details of the day—and to laugh, dance, and make memories with our favorite people. Our hope is that everyone will “Feel the Love” throughout the celebration. Most of all, we can’t wait to say “I do” and begin this next chapter as The Loves.
