All the 2025 Met Gala Looks That Gave Us Main Bride Energy

The 2025 Met Gala went down last night and while others were focused on the men of the evening, we were focused on the brilliance of the ladies.

From perfectly tailored, suited looks to gowns that doubled as dandy nods, the women of the night showed up and showed out and many did it in all white, giving us a bridal energy we didn’t know we needed from the evening.

The range bridal fashion can bring to the table is vast and many women tend to forget that once they get caught in the hoopla of their bridal fashion planning, but many of women reminded us of this truth last night with their Met looks.

Read below to see who gave us the best #MainBrideEnergy at fashion’s biggest night and let us know who was YOUR favorite using the #BlackBride1998.

Why We Love It: Its whimsical feel brought a sense of delicacy and refinement to the otherwise staunch and overly tailored looks comparable from the evening.

Zendaya in custom Louis Vuitton

Styled by: Law Roach

Why We Love It: Referencing back to the iconic wedding suit of Bianca Jagger and the glamorous monochromatic white look of Diana Ross in the legendary film Mahogany, this all-white number brought out Zendaya’s love for suiting and accentuated her modelesque frame exceptionally.

Coco Jones in Manish Malhotra

Why We Love It: R&B songstress Coco Jones was a vision in white in this ornate number by Indian designer, Manish Malhotra. This look gave the music starlet a new set of range amongst her personal style prowess and added a sense of femininity in the suit game from last evening with the styling of the XXL braid and soft glam.

Zoe Saldaña in Thom Browne

Styled by: Petra Flannery

Why We Love It: Tailored and dandy-ied to the very extreme, this look was both feminine and masculine in approach while remaining neutral enough down the middle to allow Zoe to wear the theme and not let it wear her. The sculpted bodice added depth while the bowed back and chic bob added character.

Audra McDonald in Harbison Studio

Why We Love It: Broadway legend Audra. McDonald was by far the most regal of the night in this dramatic and glamorous Harbison Studio gown. Complete with a voluminous shawl, this look – a monochromatic cream vision – spoke to the delicacy and softness dandys brought to their looks in the 18th and 19th centuries whilst remaining strong and dignified in how they styled it.

Why We Love It: Delicate and feminine enough to resemble the grace and class of a church mother while remaining chic and on-trend enough to stand the current stylistic climate, Kerry Washington was undoubtedly one of the most glorious visions to uphold last evening. This monochromatic look played with texture, fabrication and sex appeal while remaining on theme and up to par with the caliber of the evening; a clear winner.

Tyla in custom Jacquemus

Styled by: Law Roach

Why We Love It: Law Roach’s styling has a way of bringing out the best in people and this case is no different as he dressed rising pop music icon-in-the-making Tyla in this nearly deconstructed custom number by Jacquemus. Complete with a shawl and off-the-shoudler neckline, this messy yet refined look felt like a scene out of a Black Luxury film from the dandy times.

Lizzo in custom Christian Siriano

Why We Love It: If Christian Siriano is known for how well he knows how to dress a curvaceous frame and Lizzo is known for embracing her body at any size, then these two were bound to be a match made in fashion heaven for the 2025 Met. This look is both bold and daring while remaining ultra-feminine and glamorous, making it the perfect choice for a spot on our winners list.
