Sultry Elegance: An Engagement Session in Dallas, TX

On January 24, 2014, Taylar thought she was enjoying a typical Friday night in downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi at Brownstone’s restaurant, but it turned into so much more.  She was having dinner with a friend and Terrell was sitting across the way having drinks with a group of friends as well. The night was filled with stares of interest from Terrell, before he finally worked up the courage to walk over to introduce himself. 

After years of friendship, the couple decided to take it to the next level in 2018, and they have recently tied the knot! Get inspired by their sultry engagement session, captured by Bridal Suite Member Flemings Photography and featured in the spring 2024 issue of Black Bride Magazine.

Engagement Story  

May 26, 2023: Another Friday night special. It’s fair to say Fridays are when all great things happen for us. Hence, that is why we are getting married on a Friday. After an amazing dinner at our favorite restaurant Del Frisco’s, Terrell stopped by the Hilton hotel on the way home to “use the bathroom.”

He insisted that I come in and enjoy one last drink at the hotel bar before heading home. After getting a drink, he suggested that we go for a walk by the hotel waterfall. After a short walk across the bridge that sat over the water, we stopped to sit on the bench and continued a conversation from dinner. It was at that moment that Terrell got down on one knee and asked to spend the rest of his life with me. I am unable to recall his exact words as I immediately started crying once it was clear to me what was happening. Nevertheless, it was an unforgettable and truly special night. 

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

Seeing my fiancé’s face as I walk down the aisle, and celebrating with our close friends and family.
