Today is the first day of Black History month. All month we will feature wedding icon's in their own right, from photographers to wedding gown designers, couples and everything bridal that our research finds to share with you. It's always interesting and exciting to go back in time, and see who made history in the wedding industry.
Click here to read more about community photographer Alonzo Jordan (1903–1984), and how he made history.
This photo and other photos of Alonzo Jordon's work was made possible with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Summerlee Foundation, and with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
