Bridal Gown Trends For 2012 – Black Bride

Emerging trends for 2012 dictate that you'll see vibrant, elaborate, intricate details. For gowns for an example, you'll see unique illusion style necklines with sheer delicate layers that are made with soft and romantic fabric and lots of ruffles. You'll also see Victorian gowns that are making a big comeback with peplum details that are exaggerated and super flattering in the top tier which is a great way to camouflage areas you may not want to expose. Underlying fabrication either as a visible hemline or a lavish sash that's swooped over the bodice or lovely detail along the bodice is also popular for 2012. In terms of color, as in the recent past weddings are more colorful than ever. You can expect for that to continue to be the case with brides using colors like azure blues, deep pinks, bright yellow and they are pairing these bright colors with soft pastels and colors like brown, green and beige.

Towards the end of 2012, brides can expect to see trends of color accent on dresses that have chic classic lines. Bold detailed waist bands in strong color accents like red or black. Fashionable brides will fall in love with huge broaches as they will adorn the waistline of designer gowns. We saw this trend on the runway at our 2012 bridal show with designs on the runway by Bryan K. Osburn. If brides want to have a classic retro look using bold and beautiful broaches, why not go for the “something borrowed” from your grandmother's jewelry box.

The first thing a bride-to-be does after she says yes to the proposal is pick out a wedding gown. When selecting a gown there are a few important things to keep in mind. 1. Choose a gown that reflects the bride’s personality and one that is figure flattering. 2. Choose a style appropriate for the overall wedding theme. 3. Most importantly be sure you can walk, sit, turn and bend comfortably as well as lift your arms and hug friends and loved ones without splitting a seam. Comfort and confidence are vital on the big day.
