New Year’s Eve Casino Styled Shoot

If you’re a modern risk-taker, this daring styled shoot is right up your alley. Utilizing the Pantone Color of The Year, ultraviolet, along with this unorthodox venue, we couldn’t help but think this shoot delivers worthwhile inspiration as 2018 comes to a close. We absolutely love the artistic stationery, whimsical floral arch, romantic purple-hued cocktails and of course the stunning models that served as bride and groom. Take a look at this chic gamble at the James Bond Casino Royale, captured by Rohan Laylor of Phat Dog Visuals.

WPIC Inc., a Canadian wedding planning institute worked together with a team of talented vendors to bring this contemporarily styled shoot to life. Here is what Danielle Andrews, President of The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada Inc., had to say about her vision for this casino styled shoot.

“The Albany Club is an exclusive private club in downtown Toronto, Canada with a history of former Prime Ministers as their members. In fact, Canada’s last Prime Minister was having a meeting in an adjacent room while we were shooting this feature!

During a site visit at the venue, I was inspired to create a luxury backroom Casino. Continuing with the theme, I thought having a Motown band sing live while the couple danced in front of them would be perfect. I also wanted to showcase some wedding trends like a martini bar, a “Ring of Love,” and an oversized balloon backdrop for the cake table.

Keeping with the ultra-luxe feel, the couple was dressed in designer clothing. The bride wore three Catherine Langlois gowns and the groom wore Ike Evening and Andrew’s Formals Original.”

Shoot location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Shoot theme: James Bond Casino Royale

Color combinations: Various shades of Purple

Favorite detail: The live Motown Band, Cake table, Martini Bar

Decor Details:

Linens:

We used Zaha silver and black linens.

Centerpiece Description:

We had a “Ring of Love” for both the ceremony and head table decor. The head table n particular was full of hydrangea, ranunculus, roses and orchids.

Place Settings:

I wanted to keep the place settings elegant and went with Versaille China (which is white with a platinum border) alongside a set of mirrored chargers and mini lionhead soup bowls.

Stationery:

The stationery was a custom design made to mimic the “Ring of Love” that was used in the ceremony and head table. The design was echoed on the dance floor decal as well.

Please share unique details from your shoot:

There were several unique details to this photo shoot. The most interesting and exciting part was having a live Motown Band sing to the couple for their first dance. The second most unique detail of this shoot was the Casino After Party. We had blackjack and roulette.

We can’t get enough of this gorgeous styled shoot. Share your favorite details in the comments below.
