Real Engagements {Texas}: Baranda & Lincoln! – Blackbride.com

Baranda and Lincoln met at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. After their meeting, the two began dating and quickly fell in love.  The pursuit of happiness for the two would actually last for over 11 years. The two made their union official with a fall wedding this year. Check out their relaxed lifestyle engagement session at their home, captured by The Amber Studio.

Bride: Baranda Fermin

Groom: Lincoln Steffens

Place of residence: Dallas, Tx

Engagement Shoot Location: At their new home in Dallas, Tx

Wedding date: 9/27/14

 The Proposal:

Late one night, Lincoln and Baranda are on the phone on Facetime. Lincoln heard God telling him to not wait another second, another breath without "locking in" the love of his life. So in the middle of the night, in the middle of an aisle in Duane Reed, Lincoln got on one knee and on Facetime asked Baranda to be his wife. Lincoln had a special plan for the official proposal at the Reunion Tower, a building in Dallas, which holds a special place in Baranda's heart, as well as in their story. When dating in college, Lincoln took her to the building for the first time and he knew then that he fell in love for the first time.

A Special Love:

Over the course of this time, the couple would fall in and out of relationship and contact, mostly due to the long distance, but in each other's heart, they both knew that they had found "the one." They just needed to allow God to work through some things for both of them individually to be strong enough to take very seriously the notion of their union, marriage and covenant.

Congrats to newlyweds Baranda and Lincoln. We wish you many more years of wedding bliss.
