Real Weddings {Atlanta}: Tiffany & Michael! – Blackbride.com

Michael and Tiffany's modern day “Computer Love” started in March of 2008 when they met on Facebook and "clicked" instantly.  Michael had just got out of a relationship and wasn't looking to start a new one. However, the chemistry was undeniable and the two ended up exchanging numbers and talked on the phone for hours. After talking for a few weeks, they both realized that they were scheduled to attend the same party. They decided that the party was the perfect place for them to “officially” meet.  Michael recalls feeling that there was something special about Tiffany the moment he saw her. "Even though I denied my true feelings at the time, I knew in my heart there would be something significant to meeting this beautiful woman," said Michael.  A first date was scheduled the day after the party and Tiffany surprised Michael with a full cooked dinner for two when he came to pick her up. And like they say in the movies- the rest is history! Check out this sky high wedding captured by ENMUSE Photography at The Ventanas, a rooftop event space in Atlanta.

Engagement story:

June 5, 2011, was a day that will be etched in my mind and heart forever. Michael had arranged for us to take couples pictures for my birthday and little did I know this was a small part in his elaborate Surprise. Michael informed me that the photographer had doubled-booked us and since this was a “hook-up” he  said I could just come back in town the following weekend and take the pics then.  Michael said that since we were already dressed that we could go out to eat. He told me that it was a surprise, so I had to close my eyes until we got there. I was very reluctant and questioned him the entire way there. Once arriving at the restaurant, he told me to open them and I almost cried! The first people I saw were Michael’s friends Joy and Emily from Detroit. I was so excited to see my friends, our mutual friends, and a few of Michael’s family members. I was thrilled to see everyone! Next stop was to go home and change into our club clothes, so I thought we were still going to take pictures. But, we didn’t. Instead, Michael and I headed out to the club and low and behold I saw more friends and even family members who had driven from North Carolina. At least 100 people were there for my surprise birthday party! It was so special because I had never had a birthday party before.  At midnight we toasted with a little “bubbly” and Michael called my name and my eyes immediately locked in on the box in his hand. I started to cry like I just lost my BFF. Michael hadn’t even said anything and I started to hyperventilate. This night went from great to Cloud 9 in a matter of hours. I would not have imagined this night in my wildest dreams. On June 5, 2011, I officially started my journey to becoming Mrs. Tiffany Tuma.

From the Groom:

It wasn’t so stressful, we had a while to plan it and we utilized our time and money wisely. I enjoyed attending different bridal shows with my then Fiancé, because I knew she liked going and winning stuff. On the day of, I was calm and ready to see my soon-to-be wife. I woke up early which is something, I usually don’t do, but I wanted to do everything I could to make sure we started on time.

From the Bride:

The overall wedding experience was a little stressful, but not too overwhelming. We had almost two years to plan and the tears did not come until the day before the wedding. On the day of, I felt like a princess. I was being catered to by my bridal party, the vendors throwing in “freebies and at the end of the night my Husband. I’ve always told Michael that he is my Prince and I’m glad I didn’t have to kiss a lot of frogs to find him.

What makes your love special?

We were friends first. We courted 1 ½ years before we became boyfriend and girlfriend.  We have always had an open and honest line of communication with each other even before we were dating exclusively and now this carries on into our marriage.

Your best/most memorable moment: (Bride’s Point of View)

My best/most memorable moment was the Father/Daughter dance. I did not cry as I was getting dressed and my mother seeing me in my dress for the first time, nor did I cry during the reading of our vows. However, when my dad started telling me that I would make a great wife and that he was happy to have Michael as a Son-in-Law, he and I both started to cry. I just laid my head on his shoulder as we listened to “Be Ever Wonderful,” by Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:

Have a great bridal party, who will make sure you are comfortable and not crying. Eat, drink, and dance, because you paid a lot of money for other people to have fun, so you should enjoy a little of it.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are looking forward to traveling as a couple. We have been places but they were for holidays to visit family, graduations, and family reunions, but we have yet to travel for leisure by ourselves.

Congrats to the lovely couple! We wish you many more years of wedded bliss!
