In today’s beauty scoop we are dipping into the golden magic of bronzers. From the casual makeup wearer to the beat face honey diva the beauty regime of using face bronzers should be like wearing a second skin.  The amazing thing about wearing bronzer is that it provides an instant radiant youthful glow to the skin minus the hoopla of layers of heavy makeup. Bronzers have evolved from being too orange or too gold and unrealistic looking, into a great must have beauty product over the last decade.  And just like with every makeup product there are application rules to follow to assure your look is naturally flawless.

Here are some "Bronzer Basics" to keep your look sexy, modern, and fresh.

Cream Bronzers

The best way to apply cream bronzers is to use your fingers.  You have more control of the product and can blend with the foundation easier once you have highlighted the T-zone areas of the face. Cream or stick bronzers are great for subtly contouring the face and layering. It is typically suited for normal to dry skin types because of its creamy gel like texture.  Although I have combination skin I opt for some cream bronzers because of their intense bold pigment and begin by applying a mattfying primer, a sheer oil free foundation, my bronzer, than and oil control translucent powder on my T-zone area.  Remember to choose a shade that is not to orange or frosted for your complexion.

Powder Bronzers

This is ideal for those with combination or oily skin.  Powder bronzers can add intense depth and warmth to the skin without looking layered or cakey. I suggest using  a matter bronzer that is 2 shades darker than your skintone and using s shimmered bronzer with peach or gold tones to highlight your cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead. Use a soft hand and a light fluffy blush brush to smoothly blend those areas on the face.  If your brush is too large you can apply to much product all over the face, over-blend and begin to look muddy or too orange. Rule of thumb is to think of making number 3 on the sides of the face by the forehead, cheek bone, and jawline on your face when applying the powder.

Liquid Bronzers

This the most natural looking option because of its sheer liquid texture. Ideally liquid bronzers can be used on the entire face to achieve a natural sunkissed glow.  I love to mix liquid bronzers with my moisturizer or sheer liquid foundations for a natural summer look.  Because the product is so sheer be sure to exfoliate and moisturize the skin before your application for a flawless finish.
