Engagement Story:

Valentine’s weekend was coming up and Jason hinted that his sister was traveling to Rome and it would be great if we went, I immediately said yes! The flight took a long time from Florida to Rome, but I was so excited to be going to Rome, the time was not a bother. On the first night there we went to an amazing restaurant, the food was amazing and the wine was great. As we enjoyed dinner, Jason excused himself from the table, his sister’s flight was coming in late so she  mentioned meeting us at the restaurant. I thought he went to meet her at the door, but he returned with some of the most beautiful roses I’ve ever seen. After dinner, his sister mentioned visiting the Trevi Fountain. Mesmerized by the beauty of the fountain, I started using my phone to take pictures. While taking pictures of the fountain, Jason called my name to get my attention and when I turned around I saw him down on one knee. I was smiling from ear to ear with excitement! He asked me to marry him and I said yes, yes and yes! It was a beautiful night.

What makes your love special?

Our personalities are different, but we have a balance that defines our love.

From the Bride: (briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how you felt on your big day)

From the planning phase leading up to the wedding day I had a lot of fun thanks to our wedding planner. On the wedding day, I woke up feeling calm, I felt the presence of God in my room. As my bridesmaids and other vendors began to show up on the day of the wedding the reality that it was my wedding day began to settle in, I was about to be Jason’s wife. I was excited about starting another chapter in our life. The joy I felt to have my dad walk me down the aisle was unexplainable. Jason and I exchanged vows, took photos and went ahead of our guests for a first look at the reception room. The décor was breath taking, but the best part was having alone time with my husband, we danced to our own music like no one else was in the room, it was one of the most special moments of our wedding. I also remember feeling so grateful that our family and friends came from near and far to celebrate our union.

From the Groom: (briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how you felt on your big day)

Well I didn’t get much sleep the night prior as I was up anxiously awaiting the biggest and happiest day of my life. Thinking about Kaydean and how she must be feeling at this moment, as my groomsmen and I put on our tuxedos and enjoyed each other’s company as our photos were being taken.  The walk down to the church from the hotel was joyous, it was at this moment it truly hit me that I was marrying the love of my life, but it was topped by seeing Kaydean walk down the aisle and us sharing our vows.

Your best/most memorable moment:

The Bride: Our wedding day was a double celebration; a celebration of my union with Jason and also a celebration of my father’s birthday. I had the opportunity to sing happy birthday to the first man I had in my life, my dad. The father and daughter dance was emotional and special because my father is truly my hero. It was truly a special and emotional day for me, my father gave me away to Jason and he knew without a doubt that he would take care of me and protect me just like he had done for the first years of my life.

Groom: Seeing Kaydean walking down the aisle for the first time was the most memorable moment for me.

Wedding song (explain choice for song)

  1. “For You” by Kenny Lattimore is a song that expressed how we both feel about each other, the love we share is solid and has many folds.

  2. “The Fighter” by Keith Urban is a song chosen by the bride because this song symbolize  a warm, secure and protected place to be which is in the arms of  my husband.

Favorite wedding detail:

Groom: The décor was my favorite detail

Bride: Everything, am I allowed to say that? The décor was spectacular, our wedding planner went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. I will say that the floor decal was not ordered through a vendor, but by our planner, she could not find what we needed and decided to order it on her own. Her and her team installed the floor decal and it turned out amazing. Also, we had the best vendors for our wedding thanks to our planner and her connections, the drapes were custom- the right color and texture- it turned out better than I wanted, it was gorgeous!

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Groom: The endless days with my wife.

Bride: Keeping God at the head of our marriage, doing life with my husband, raising our kids, building a legacy, growing old together and supporting each other through every season of life.

Advice for a bride/groom on their wedding day:

Steal little moments here and there for you and your groom/bride throughout the wedding, it goes by quick and get a good photographer, it’s worth it!

Please feel free to include any other interesting anecdotes from your big day!

I would tell the bride to have an emergency kit, I definitely needed one on my wedding day.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them a fruitful marriage and many years of wedded bliss!
