Wedding Inspiration Water Color

I love art and fusing colors together, just give me a blank canvas, a paintbrush, a palate of pretty paint colors, and watch me go. Seriously, it's been a long time since I picked up a paint brush but it is an old love that I still have a passion for. The whimsy and romance of watercolors has always been an obsession of mine. I think one day I’ll decorate a room in my house in water colors with the perfect watercolor accent wall! Some people debate that watercolors and pastels are one in the same. I say they are certainly related, but not the same. Watercolor is like water spilled onto a brilliant bright color that spreads and becomes different shades, like dark violet and then you have purple, a lighter purple, and lilac. There are many new color trends  making their way into wedding themes this year, from shoes to wedding cakes. Here are a few of my absolute favorite watercolor inspired things. I also found a gorgeous dress collection to share by June Pugat! If you’re thinking about adding a touch of watercolor whimsy to your wedding day, these lovely's are here and in no particular order to inspire you!

A quote from June Pugat about the collection below:

I used silk cocoon for all the gowns. The fabric was originally white but I hand-painted each piece to give them the color they have. I was inspired by my favorite poetry by Cummings, Neruda, Rilke, García Lorca, and some of the ones I’ve written myself. Before creating the designs, in my mind I had the idea of the poet’s ink spilling over the petals of some other worldly flowers.
