Wayback Wednesday: Jet Setter New Jersey Wedding

Silver and Christopher met in 2001 while they both attended Albright College. They were together for four years, but they broke up shortly after graduating. However, their love story has a happy ending because they got back together in 2015 and married two years after that on the magical day of 11/11/18. Take a walk down memory lane with these college sweethearts and check out their sophisticated jet set wedding at The Elan. We absolutely love the travel-themed details that were expertly captured by Alex Kaplan Photo

Engagement story:

On Christmas morning, Christopher decided to make breakfast. He cannot cook, but he made pancakes, eggs, and microwavable bacon. When he told me breakfast was ready, I was not looking forward to it because I have had his cooking before. He supposedly put the food on a plate with a cover on top, but when I opened it up, there was a ring box on the plate.

What makes your love special?

Our love is special because we love and support each other. We loved each other in college and even after our time apart, we both still loved each other so much that it was strong enough to bring us back together after 10 years.

From the Bride:

I was on cloud nine. I had a lot of fun on my wedding day. I socialized a lot and had fun with my friends and family. The night went by extremely fast. I just wished it lasted a little bit longer.

From the Groom:

It was a great moment. Knowing I was about to marry the love of my life and that all my family and friends were there to support us.

Your most memorable moment:

There was a video tribute to my father that my husband made for me. My father died that same day the year prior, so my husband made sure my father was displayed after the father-daughter dance.

Wedding song:

Our wedding song was “Straight Up & Down” by Bruno Mars. We both love Bruno, he’s a talented singer and performer. And the song was a sexy pick.

Favorite wedding detail:

Our favorite wedding detail was the custom-made aisle runner. It was a glittering world map that looked beautiful. We also loved our wedding cake, which was a tiered cake with the bottom being a suitcase and a luggage tag. Our favors included luggage tags and pretzels provided by Southwest Airlines. The seating chart was a “Destinations” chart that helped our guests find their seats. Each table was a different country.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Exploring and traveling the world together.

Advice for a Bride and Groom on their wedding day:

Relax, have fun and enjoy your day. Too much worrying will consume you and your day if you let it.

Please feel free to include any other interesting anecdotes from your bid day:

I decided to have my wedding on November 11, 2017, because on that day in 2016, my dad passed away from multiple myeloma. I’ve always wanted my dad to walk me down the aisle, but since he passed away I wanted to include him in my day as much as I possibly could. So I chose this date because I wanted to celebrate him and his life, and I wanted my wedding day to be part of his memory.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you many years of wedded bliss!
