Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day. Include your most memorable moment.

Our wedding was aesthetically breathtaking. The most memorable moment was walking through the chapel doors while Benjamin was sharing tears of joy as my brother gave me over to him.

(Benjamin) Seeing me walking through the chapel doors while Jalisa sang Jennifer Hudson’s “Giving Myself.” Our favorite part was our First Touch. We whispered a prayer promising to keep God first.

Wedding song, explain choice for song:

“Giving Myself” by Jennifer Hudson- We chose this song because it explains our relationship. I never loved anyone like I loved you. You make me feel so complete, comfortable, and valued . Being who we really are without pretending. Trusting each other with our whole hearts and overcoming any life challenge.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Building a life together and having a permanent best friend. Building a better life and generational wealth for our children.

Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:

My advice to an upcoming bride or groom is to always keep God first in your union. Planning a wedding can become stressful as you would think the support from family and friends would be big but people tend to reveal themselves when you need them most in your corner cheering you on. Stay positive, remember it’s your day, and be thankful for the loyal people who support your union.
