From Bumble to “I Do”: Leslie and Jamaine’s Romantic Wedding

Leslie and Jamaine met in 2022 on Bumble and began dating in March of that year. What started as a midweek first date at a cozy neighborhood wine bar quickly unfolded into four effortless hours of conversation. Different in many ways yet firmly rooted in shared values, the two knew they had found something special—leading them to marry exactly three years to the day they first began dating.

Their wedding was the perfect combination of a multicultural couple, black tie, and their love for cherry blossoms where Jamaine officially proposed to Leslie. The bride had multiple wardrobe changes throughout the evening, and both shared in the Ghanian culture to bring their reception to life. Honeymoon Destination:

For our honeymoon, we spent one week in Vietnam (Hanoi and Siagon), and then we spent one week in Bali.
Immediately after the wedding, we also had a post-wedding weekend getaway to Sedona, Arizona

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

Our wedding day was joyful, emotional, and peaceful all at once. We felt deeply loved, fully present, rooted in faith, and confident in the life and the new chapter we’re starting together.

Wedding song, and the significance of the song:

We chose “Do 4 Love” version from Snoh Aalegra for our last song since it was the perfect way to end our wedding with a song that speaks to devotion and commitment and showing up fully for each other with love. It’s soulful and meaningful, and reminds us to choose love and partnership.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We look forward to everyday moments as well as big milestones together.
