Eugene and Alondra Marshall met on May 18, 2019—the day of her master’s graduation from Rutgers. Their paths crossed at a barbecue celebrating the graduation of Eugene’s best friend, Michael Cummings. The moment they locked eyes, there was an undeniable connection. They soon slipped away to a quiet spot to talk, and their conversation flowed effortlessly—from God and personal goals to their hopes for the future. From that day on, they were inseparable. Eugene helped lead Alondra closer to Christ, and together they discovered a shared passion for spreading light, faith, and positivity wherever they go.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

Our wedding experience was truly surreal. From morning until evening, everything flowed effortlessly, wrapped in an atmosphere of love and light that could be felt by everyone present. We were filled with excitement as we prepared to share a sacred covenant with one another, and the day unfolded more beautifully than we ever imagined. Everything was perfect, and our guests had an amazing time

celebrating with us.

“Gotta Be” by Joe — A timeless favorite that we both genuinely love. We sing every lyric with full hearts and always find ourselves dancing in perfect sync.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We’re most looking forward to growing together spiritually, emotionally, and in every season of life. We’re excited to build a home filled with love, faith, and peace, and to continue supporting each other’s dreams and purpose. We look forward to creating new traditions, deepening our bond, and walking hand-in-hand through every adventure God places before us. Most of all, we can’t wait to share a lifetime of laughter, growth, and unwavering partnership.
