Spring has arrived and so should you. It’s that time of year to have fun with your makeup and beauty products just the same as you would Spring cleaning your wardrobe and switching out your closet from boots to peep-toes, wool coats to light-weight trenches, and so on. As a dedicated beauty product fanatic, transitioning colors and testing new products is a season highlight for me. I just get excited and ready to swap out last season’s color trends to something new. We all know spring brings on tons of bright colors, pastels, and prints.

This is the most fun I think I will ever have doing any type of cleaning.
- Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Blush in No.4.
Don’t be fooled by this cotton candy-colored compact. This light, but fun pink packs a dose of brightness to highlight cheek bones just enough to give a glimpse of sheer-like pinkness. The best part about this blush is that it looks sexy, but not too sweet. For a quick flirty look, sweep across cheekbones; add gloss to your lips, mascara, and your done.
2. Viva GLAM Miley Cyrus lipstick
While browsing through shades of lipsticks at the MAC counter on a lunch break, I was convinced by a make-up artist to try this pop of color. To my surprise, it’s PERFECT! I even wore it back to work, which is a big deal for me. I tend to stick to more neutral tones for the office, but not after trying this pure perfection of pink. This color gives bright pink with a slight dose of shine, but not too “over-the-top”. If you are not up for bright colors at work or during the day-you can tone any lip color down with a MAC lip liner in the color, “Cork”. Also, the total amount for each purchase of a tube of this lipstick is used to help men, women, and youth affected or living with HIV/AIDS. And what’s most AWESOME is you can look great and help others with this beauty purchase!
- Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 20
I am a huge advocate for healthy looking skin. The winter left my skin with dry patches, flakes, oiliness in the T-zone, and just overall unevenness. Out of pure desperation, I began using a drug store brand to help with the dark spots I kept getting. This only made things worse! Fed up, I returned back to Clinique. I had been using Clinique for years and they have never let me down. A few weeks ago, I was introduced to this new found miracle in a tube with a small pump and I’ve been sold ever since! This product has so many benefits. The fact that this moisturizer has SPF 20 in it is a plus and great for those upcoming Spring days in the park or just out running errands when you’re constantly in the sun. Just an FYI, the SPF should be 15 or higher for proper protection from sun rays and should be applied daily all over your face. Also, this product is oil free and it clarifies, removes dullness, and exfoliates all in one. This one has been my best investment to date from my Spring beauty must-haves list! I’ve been prepping my skin daily with this one.
- Natural Grape seed Oil
As a beauty product junkie, this one was a bit different. I sort of purchased and tried it on a whim in an effort to venture into a collection of natural skin and hair care products. It held its weight amongst a few other great natural skin products such as coconut oil. Unlike coconut oil, which is also excellent for skin and hair, grape seed oil is less greasy. Also, the fact that it’s lightweight and good for both skin and hair are a plus. The price of natural grape seed oil and its endless benefits make it a worthy investment without a hefty price tag. For me, it works best during my natural hair care regimen. I simply smooth a few drops over damp or dry hair and it provides just enough moisture, but never in abundance. The silky texture of grape seed oil also feels great when applied immediately after shower and provides great hydration to help prep your skin for those strapless dresses and revealing those legs! Hello springtime!
5. Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
The name alone makes you want to try this one! No need for faux lashes with this mascara “wonder wand”. This mascara is tried and true, plus it delivers results instantly with only about two strokes per eye.
