Akhenaton (AK) and Paige met in February 2020, just before the world shut down due to COVID. They crossed paths at a City Commission meeting, where AK approached Paige saying that they had met before and invited her to get involved in local events. Paige didn’t recall meeting him, assuming it must’ve been at a Greek event—but in reality, AK had only seen her from afar a few weeks earlier and was determined to say hello when the opportunity came.
After that, they texted off and on until the pandemic gave them a reason to connect more deeply. Their first date turned into an adventure exploring Tallahassee’s nature trails, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They quickly discovered shared quirks—like being left-handed and having birthdays just five days apart—and a mutual love for sports, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding? We are most looking forward to all of our closest friends and family gathering in one place. Since AK is originally from Detroit, MI, and Paige is originally from Tampa, FL, it can definitely be a challenge to get everyone together in one place but we are looking forward to everyone gathering together to celebrate us.
