Destiny and Cameron’s love story began in 2022 with a swipe and a spark on the dating app Hinge. What started as a playful conversation quickly turned into something special as they discovered a shared love for adventure, laughter, family, beliefs, and deep conversations. After two weeks of chatting through the dating app, Cameron finally asked Destiny for her number. She jokingly told him that she didn’t think he was ever going to ask, but Cameron said he was just waiting for the right moment.

Destiny shares the details of their first date: “Our first unofficial date at Chipotle was a perfect mix of nerves and excitement at first, but by the end of the date, it was clear: something magical was unfolding. From that moment on, Cameron and I became inseparable, building a bond that grew stronger with every adventure, late-night chat, and shared dream. On December 22, 2023, Cameron surprised me with the most magical Christmas proposal at the Grand Bohemian in Charlotte, NC. He had told me that we were going to his company’s holiday party, but he insisted that I dress up nicely for the occasion. Walking up to the restaurant, we were greeted by beautiful Christmas decorations that gave everything a cozy, festive glow. A stunning Christmas tree twinkled in the background, making it feel like a scene straight out of a Hallmark movie. Suddenly, a photographer appeared out of nowhere! He asked if he could take our picture in front of the Christmas tree. Of course, I was sure this was the moment—Cameron was finally going to propose! We took the picture, and the photographer casually walked off. I started to wonder, “Maybe tonight isn’t the night after all?”

Cameron seemed completely unfazed by the interaction and led me into the restaurant. My heart was still racing, unsure of what was going to happen next. We sat down at our cozy table, before the waiter could even come, Cameron began to share how much I meant to him and how he couldn’t imagine life without me by his side. And right then, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever.

It was perfect—our very own Christmas fairytale, with just the two of us, wrapped in love and surrounded by holiday magic.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

Cameron and I are looking forward to the start of a new chapter together as husband and wife as we stand together before God, surrounded by loved ones, and making sacred vows to one another and to God. This moment represents not just a promise between us but a covenant that binds our love within His divine plan. It’s a declaration of our faith, trust, and commitment, not only to each other but also to a higher purpose, asking for His blessing and guidance as we begin our married life. Knowing that God is at the center of our union gives us strength and peace, and we are filled with gratitude to dedicate our love and future to His will on this special day.
