Brittany met Kyle in 2015 when she moved to Indianapolis for an internship with the NCAA. She had been fervently praying for the position, and although she didn’t initially get it, Brittany remained steadfast in her faith. Then, as if by divine intervention, a spot opened for her, and she was given a second chance. This opportunity not only launched Brittany’s career but also led her to Kyle. Just two months after arriving in Indianapolis, Brittany went to a restaurant called Delicia, where she met him. From that moment, it was as if everything had aligned perfectly. Their connection was immediate and profound, and they have been inseparable ever since. What began as a heartfelt prayer for a job turned into a beautiful love story.

My proposal to Brittany was a long time coming, filled with both heartache and hope. I had originally planned to pop the question in July 2022, but life had other plans. I unexpectedly fell very ill and ended up spending nearly eight months in the hospital. Her unwavering presence and steadfast support through those dark days made me even more determined to create a special moment for us.
After recovering and getting back to my old self, I felt ready to make my proposal dream come true. In June 2023, I took Brittany to the Myriad Botanical Gardens in
Oklahoma, setting up a day that looked like a photo shoot. The idea was to capture our moments together in a beautiful setting while keeping the proposal a secret. After the photographer took several candid shots, I took my chance and got down on one knee amid the breathtaking surroundings.
The moment I proposed was unforgettable. Seeing the genuine surprise and joy on Brittany’s face was everything I had hoped for. When she said yes, it wasn’t just a celebration of our love—it was a testament to the strength and resilience of our journey together.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
We’re both excited about the entire wedding day and the unique moments it will bring. One of the things we’re most looking forward to is the ceremony itself— saying our vows and officially starting our journey as a married couple. We’ve put a lot of thought into our vows and the details of the ceremony, so it will be special to share that moment and express our love and commitment to each.
We’re also really looking forward to the celebration afterward. The chance to dance, laugh, and enjoy the evening with all the people who have supported us throughout our relationship is something we’re both anticipating. We can’t wait to share those special dances, hear the toasts, and simply revel in the joy of the day with everyone who means so much to us.
