Yesterday, the 55th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show was hosted by LL Cool J. The biggest names in the music industry were in attendance from Beyonce to Adele and we waited with baited breath for Justin Timberlake’s come back performance. We're happy to say we enjoyed his performance. We'll have to see what the entire album sounds like before we give it a two thumbs up though. The release date is set for March 19, 2013.
The Social Media circuit was on fire yesterday with people sharing red carpet looks. Like those who watched, we noticed the dress code was knowingly violated by several celebrities in attendance. Well we decided not to focus on the violators, (except Rhianna) and instead focus on the gowns we consider bridal looks. Check out our favorite red carpet bridal inspired gowns that could double as a wedding or bridesmaid gown. Enjoy!
The lady in red, Rihanna wore a custom red Azzedine Alaïa dress with a sheer bodice and waist. Bold brides really do wear red, just ask couture designers like Vera Wang or Therez Fleetwood, they both have gorgeous red gowns in their bridal gown collection! Do you think Rhianna's gown would need a double layer of sheer fabric at the top before a bride would walk down the aisle in this sexy number?
Solange Knowles wore this gorgeous emerald green couture gown by Ralph Russo. Bridesmaids look…yes or no? Perhaps the maid of honor? Did you know that emerald green is Pantone's color of the year with influence trends in weddings, fashion and home decor.
The lovely Shaun Robinson in a long purple gown by Mireille Dagher that could definitely be worn as a bridesmaid gown.
The reviews for the gown Kimbra wore were not so nice, however we love this whimsical number by Aussie designer Jamie Lee.
Carrie Underwood wore an LED Theia gown which looks silver in the photo. The gown is actually ivory and projected multiple patterns and colors during her performance. Click here to see various images of the gown.
Jennifer rocked the red carpet in a Maria Lucia Lohan dress which could easily double as a bridesmaid dress.
Giuliana Rancic wore Carlos Miele. Would you rock this look on your wedding day?
Taylor Swift in a Grecian-inspired gown by J Mendel. This gown is perfect for the daring sexy bride.
Anoushka Shankar wore a dress that could totally double as a bohemian style wedding dress. Anoushka accepted the Grammy for her late father, sitar maestro Ravi Shankar
Mika Newton's gorgeous gown made our inspiration list, it can easily be worn as a wedding gown.
Kimberly Schlapman, of the musical group Little Big Town, wore a gorgeous sexy back gown by Maria Luisa Hohan. This gown is perfect for the big day if you dare to go backless!
