As we are still celebrating the birth of Jesus and taking time away from our busy schedules to spend time with family and friends, I think today is perfect to stay in that vein. I had the opportunity to travel to Cocoa Beach, FL again to celebrate Christmas. Cocoa Beach is a small town about 30 miles east of Orlando. It’s a beautiful town filled with historical sites such as the Kennedy Space Center and the Space Shuttle Museum. You can also spend a day listening to a local band with a glass of wine while dining at Baja’s, a family-owned restaurant at the cruise ship port. Another highlight is every Christmas Eve families are thrilled on the south of the beach with over 200 “Surfin’ Santa’s”. Cocoa Beach is a wonderful melting pot where time stands still.
I’m grateful for this “stillness” as I reflected on just how good God has been to me this year and began charting my vision for 2014. I was also reminded that nothing on earth feels as good as being surrounded by love.
Take time these last few days of 2013 and begin thinking about beautiful places to travel in 2014 and with an expectant hear, write down the desires of your heart that you would like God to make manifest in 2014.
