This “Lemonade” inspired editorial shoot used bold, modern elements, citrus details, and "Sasha Fierce" attitude to capture the beautiful marriage of independent spirit and true romance. Bright pops of yellow, acrylic accents and linear, contrasting designs came together to make a truly unique wedding production at Washington D.C.’s Fathom Gallery.While it was imperative to nail the setting and decor for this styled shoot, storytelling was equally important. The sweet and sexy way the bride and groom interacted with each other throughout the entire experience gave us serious #couplegoals.
Styled Shoot Details:
The bride wore a tailored bridal jumpsuit, rocked sleek hair and a serious glow, dripped with canary diamonds. She had two bouquets, because why not? The groom wore a slim fit black tux, a custom lemon bow tie, and was the epitome of masculine confidence. Lemon cookies looked more like works of art, and an angular, black matte cake with yellow sugar flowers deserved a spotlight. Fresh, citrus inspired light bites were impeccably styled on acrylic and marble. The invitation suite was custom designed to combine strong, modern design with a soft watercolor touch.
Table details:
The Table design borrowed inspiration from art galleries, and incorporated acrylic boxes with encased florals into a streamlined tablescape. A modern, adult friendly lemonade stand served delicious lemony cocktails. The suspended lemon backdrop not only filled the venue with a lemony fresh scent, but imbued the shoot with a truly unique and artistic photo setting. This inspiration shoot embodies the individuality, creative freedom and inherit strength that Beyoncé Knowles has inspired millions of fans to accept in themselves. We hope Queen Bey would be proud!
