Ines Di Santo S/S 2015 Couture Bridal Collection “Gardens of Glamour”

It's my favorite day of the week, "Fashion Friday" and we are bringing you detailed highlights from Ines Di Santo's latest bridal collection titled "Garden of Glamour" The collection was inspired by the lush greenery and rolling fields of flowers of the world’s most breathtaking gardens. From dreamy canopies of wisteria to the endless rows of Provence’s renowned lavender fields, to gorgeous tunnels of greenery, the colors of nature astound the senses in these mystical settings and their influence can be felt throughout this season’s elegant designs.   While architectural patterns of Guipure lace appliques mimic magical botanical mazes and neat rows of meticulously aligned tulips, other gowns are accented with more free-flowing embellishment, reminiscent of the wilder, unhampered gardens of the English countryside. Ostrich feathers add flirtiness to full ball gowns as shimmering clusters of opalescent paillettes recall dew drops on petals, catching the light in a dazzling display. The glamour that is signature to Di Santo’s aesthetic is perhaps closest to the elaborately manicured gardens of Versailles. Crystal-encrusted tulle is fabulously feminine, interspersed with pearls, perfectly placed amidst the sparkle adding the most decadent texture. The soft palette of blush, ivory and champagne gold that is woven throughout the collection, much like the blush sweeping across the sky just before twilight, is carried through to the fresh-faced makeup used in this season’s show, with the models’ hair dressed in flowers as another nod to the collection’s inspiration.
