This week we got a chance to chat with Johnny Wright, celebrity stylist and SoftSheen-Carson Artistic Director, along with our "Girlfriend" Tracee Ellis Ross, about the new Optimum Amla Legend Oil-Infused Styling products. Tip #1: Healthy hair starts with healthy ends:
Johnny warned fellow beauty bloggers and professionals at the event that there is no product that can fix split ends. Johnny recommends that you clip your ends every 6 to 8 weeks for the best results.
Tip #2: Hair needs moisture!
Johnny and Tracee both agreed that the key to healthy hair is keeping your tresses moisturized. Tracee, who admits to doing her own hair, said that she uses Amla oil in the shower and combs it through her hair from the ends to the root, for added moisture and shine.
Hair Tip #3: Blood circulation increases hair growth.
Johnny stands by Amla oil, not only because it penetrates the hair, unlike other oils on the market, but it also naturally promotes blood circulation which increases hair growth. Johnny recommends massaging Amla oil into your scalp as a part of your weekly hair regimen.
