Nakia and David first met over 10 years ago through mutual friends. Although the two didn't really speak outside of the realm of pleasantries, they would later reconnect and forge a true friendship and which would later turn into genuine interest in each other. From the Bride:
A fun experience, but of course stressful at times. It’s so important to remember it’s about you two and nothing else matters. Surprisingly, I was extremely calm the day of, I wasn’t nervous. As soon as I saw my dad at the museum I lost it. Seeing his face and the tears in his eyes. Having all of our family and friends together for two nights is incomparable. They were so much love and I couldn’t have asked for more perfect night.
From the Groom
It was awesome, one of the most incredible days of my life. It was very bittersweet, as my father and sister were not a part of this day. I wish I could it all over again.
Most memorable moment:
David: Watching Kia come down the aisle.
Kia: Being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Ngo for the first time. The energy was amazing! Being introduced as David’s wife was incredible.
Favorite wedding detail:
We had Harvey Cummings playing the piano during the ceremony and cocktail hour. He sounded incredible and added a different element to the wedding.
Wedding song:
Van Halen—Into the Mystic. It was a really unique song and lyrics encompass us.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Being able to grow with each other and continue to share our lives together.
Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:
Don’t stress and don’t let anyone or anything take away from what’s most important and that’s you two.
