We got engaged on our anniversary in 2014. Kai isn’t a predictable type of guy, and I’m not easily surprised, so it’s sort of shocking that it happened that way. We went to Longwood Gardens, and I was looking forward to a relaxing day with Kai. We’ve been there several times and really enjoy it so it didn’t seem out of the ordinary. As we walked the grounds, we decided to explore the Italian Gardens because it seemed to be less crowed. We took a moment to relax and sit by the water, and that’s when Kai proposed. I was totally caught by surprise.
From the Groom:
Although surrounded by family and friends the entire evening, every moment shared beside my bride felt so deeply intimate. That day was truly a celebration of unity-we were finally husband and wife.
From the Bride:
The day before the wedding was the only time I felt nervous, but that all went away when our day finally arrived. I was excited to have my little brother walk me down the aisle. We also decided to do a first look. It turned out to be a great idea and allowed us a very intimate and private moment.
What makes your love special?
We’re really friends first, so I feel we know each other very well. Being friends creates a comfort level with one another where we both can be honest and have been able to build a healthy relationship. We really enjoy spending time together with no pressure or expectations. It doesn’t matter if we’re at home watching movies, busy running errands, or out and about on vacation; we always have a great time together.
Most memorable moment:
There are so many. Seeing all the joy and excitement on the faces of our family and friends. Having everyone come together; there was so much love in the atmosphere!
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Becoming family and spending a lifetime together with my friend.
Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:
Remember it’s a special day for the both of you, so take a moment just to yourselves; you’ll truly appreciate it!
Congrats to the newlyweds Tiffany and Kaif! We wish you many more years of wedded bliss.
