In honor of Black History Month, we paid homage to the great poet of love – Maya Angelou. The theme of the shoot, “Still We Rise” is based off her famous poem “Still I Rise.” Included in this styled shoot are quotes from some of her poems on love as it applies to a couple’s journey. The words of Maya Angelou’s poem are brought to life as they dance throughout the stationery and are echoed in the design. Non traditional colors of black, gold, ivory and chartreuse were the inspiration for the shoot, as seen in all the design elements.

Table Decor Details
Linens: Black satin linen
Centerpiece Description: Metallic gold vases where used to display a horizontal arrangement of lush blooms of ivory and chartreuse colors. Flowers used included hydrangeas, roses, dendrobium orchids, and anemones. Gold mercury votives, stemmed gold mercury candle holders and Monet glass candle holders added a romantic ambiance to the tables.
