Brandon’s page was private, Tera’s was public, and a single photo in their shared professional circle set it all in motion. Tera came across a picture featuring Brandon and sent a friend request. Brandon accepted, followed back, and — in true modern fashion — liked a few of Tera’s photos (the universal sign for “interested, but trying not to look too interested”). Tera returned the gesture, sprinkling likes across his feed before replying to one of his stories about a missing side tooth.
That small exchange led to a conversation, which turned into connection, and eventually into something much bigger. What began with a few taps on a screen became the start of a love story neither of them saw coming — but both instantly recognized as meant to be.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.
Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be — intimate, timeless, and full of heart.
With so many loved ones flying in from out of town, we kicked things off the night before with an open dinner at BarTaco — our favorite spot as a couple — so anyone who had made the trip could join in. It set the perfect tone: relaxed, joyful, and surrounded by our people.
For the ceremony, we chose not to do a first look. We wanted to feel everything — the nerves, the anticipation, the emotion — in real time. The ceremony took place in the garden, where our family and friends were seated runway-style. Walking down that aisle was surreal; by the time Tera reached the end, both she and Brandon were in tears.
One of the most meaningful moments came during the reception when Tera surprised her mom with a special bouquet dedication — a small but unforgettable tribute that made the day even more personal. Every detail of the day reflected our shared values: intention, connection, and authenticity. It wasn’t about grandeur — it was about meaning.
Wedding song, and the significance of the song:
“I Found Love” felt like the perfect reflection of our story. It’s a representation of two voices in harmony—just as we’ve always seen in our relationship, built on mutual commitment, shared emotion, and balance. The lyrics spoke to us long before the wedding, often playing during our R&B jam sessions when love felt both new and familiar.
And then there’s “This Is,” a song that has been our quiet anthem since the very beginning. When we were long-distance, it became the soundtrack to countless late-night conversations.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Continuing to learn about each other as we grow & change, building a legacy together and raising a family.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
