Classic Elegance in Los Angeles

Lawrence and Jasmann’s wedding was a heartfelt summer celebration in the heart of Los Angeles. They exchanged vows at The Preserve LA surrounded by their closest family and friends. The couple’s vision was a classic and modern romance, blending timeless black-tie elegance with deep shades of red as their signature palette. Their ceremony was filled with joy and emotion, followed by an evening of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories. From the bride’s graceful entrance to the candid moments shared on the dance floor, every detail reflected their love story that began with a chance meeting on Cinco de Mayo in 2023 and blossomed into a beautiful forever.

Lawrence and Jasmann met at Jasmann’s best friend’s home for an intimate birthday celebration in 2022. Lawrence lived in the same building and got to know Jasmann’s best friend’s husband. And as fate would have it, he popped by that night with a lyrically correct game that Jasmann dominated at, scoring a few points above Lawrence. He was drawn in by her captivating eyes and no bs whit. She was intrigued by his confident yet cool demeanor and charming smile. They didn’t exchange numbers that night but kept each other in the back of their minds until they ran into each other again couple months
later. Their first date was at a Hollywood jazz night and they have been inseparable since then.

Wedding Theme/Motif/Inspiration: We leaned into a feeling more so than a theme and named it a Summer Romance. That way our guest had something to keep in mind when shopping for their wardrobe. Think rich hues of red, passion and sun drenched elegance. Our guest dress code was formal and we asked that everyone wear either black and/or deep shades of red, with keywords like Oxblood, Burgundy and Port. The wedding party wore black and we brought in the red shades in the maids of honor’s bouquets. It was important to us that our photos were curated down to the guests attire.

Honeymoon Destination: Our honeymoon destination will be somewhere in Bali. We now have time to research and plan our first adventure as husband and wife.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

It was a sunny day in Los Angeles which paired well with our lush tropical tree lined garden venue. It was one of the first venues we toured and we fell in love with it because it totally transported you from the city. As creatives, we took on the task of planning every detail of our entire wedding. Pinterest and TikTok were our sidekicks for the next few months. We are still amazed by the atmosphere we curated for our guests within a few months and so were our guest. We got engaged in February of 2025 and married in August 2025. God just lined it all up for us from venue, to wedding attire, caterer, florist, photographer and coordinator. We received so much feedback about how beautifully intimate and fun our wedding was. Re-sparking hope in love yet found and in marriages solidified long ago. That was the ultimate gift.

Jasmann: I was in go mode right up until my Dad and I began to walk out. As I began to see all of the guests that showed up to celebrate us and locked eyes with Lawrence, a wave for emotions filled with love, excitement and gratitude began to pour out of my eyes. I was honestly like dang, why am I messing up our photos like this. I should have had a little mantra ready. To me, the day was a beautiful, surreal dream that sat on a cloud. I am still buzzing from it all and would relive it in a heart beat.

Lawrence: I felt emotional, overwhelmed and excited in the moment because I wanted this day to be perfect for Jasmann. The love and connection I felt throughout our relationship and leading up to our big day, solidified our love. This made it real. Since I had been married before, I did not think I would find love again, let alone a love even stronger than I had experienced before.

Wedding song, and the significance of the song:

Groom & Wedding Party Entrance song: First by Teeks. The groom edited the song to remove the explicit chorus, focusing on the beautiful lyrics in the first versus about how we are finally at this moment that we prayed for. It spoke to the magical feeling of our relationship.

Flower girl & Bride Entrance song: Out the Blue by Mereba. This song felt ethereal, heart felt, and spoke to how the bride was not looking but then out of the blue the groom emerged and life has been brighter ever since.
Grand Entrance song: Issa Party by Latto. We wanted to enter our party with energy and get everyone up out of their seats. We made bottle service marquee signs for our wedding party and gave one of the groomsmen the mic to be our MC. It made the experience so much fun for all of us.

First Dance song: How Does It Make You Feel by Victoria Monét. This song just surrounds you with love. It is a little more upbeat while still being slow dance friendly. We choreographed our dance and the almost Motown funk beat allowed us to do dips and spins. It was so much fun to bring our ideas together and collaborate on this memorable first dance.

Father & Daughter Dance song: As by Stevie Wonder. This was such a special moment for the bride and her dad. The bride never seen so much freedom and joy from her dad and she will cherish this moment forever. This is a beautiful upbeat song that reiterates, “one thing’s for sure, I’ll be loving you always”.

Mother & Son Dance song: Mama Hold My Hand by Aloe Blacc. The groom and his mom shared cherished hugs, happy tears and spins.
