Inspired by the timeless royalty and the magnetic energy of city life, every detail tells a story. From the couple’s regal attire to the lavish tablescapes and lush floral arrangements, this shoot beautifully captures a vision of Black excellence and love. It’s a blend of contemporary style and classic elegance, designed to inspire couples who dream of something bold, refined, and deeply meaningful.
This project was brought to life by a powerhouse team of talented creatives—including Black-owned, minority-owned, and woman-owned businesses—each bringing their unique artistry and passion to the table. The team included planning and design by Temi Awokoya of The P3 Touch Events and Conference Curator, gorgeous floral design by Nature of Design Events, cake by Sweet Family Secrets Bakery, and every detail captured by Tori Del Photography.
The Couple Behind the Vision
Meet Mr. and Mrs. Matthew, who said “I do” on October 6, 2024. Lovers of city life and all things luxurious, they envisioned an intimate celebration that reflected both their refined tastes and their deep connection. With a desire to infuse their wedding with royal flair, vibrant energy, and personal style, their love story became the perfect muse for this unforgettable shoot.

Details
This wedding features color palettes of purple, representing royalty; hints of gold, representing resonance; and peach, representing warmth and modern elegance. These colors resonate with compassion and effortlessly bridge youthfulness and timelessness. The overall feel of the wedding symbolizes regal sophistication and contemporary vibrancy, pulling in royalty and elegance in the city.
Attire
The couple’s wardrobe blends modern style with royal aesthetics. The bride wore a lace ballgown that represented royalty and, at the same time, gave the city feel with the detachable train. The bride’s hair, makeup and accessories featured a timeless look that resonates between generations. The groom’s tuxedo was blue, a primary color of purple, which tied in well with the theme and the subtle blue colors in the décor.
Decor and Linen
Luxurious details include velvet linen, purple antique glassware, vintage napkins, purple candles, gold accents, and bespoke floral arrangements.
Floral Arrangements
Flower palettes of purple and peach were used to connect the theme of royalty, richness, and timelessness.
Purple flowers were incorporated with roses, Vanda orchids, Persian buttercup, Lisianthus, Purpleicious Veronica, chrysanthemums, and hydrangea. Peach flowers were incorporated using: cremon linette, snapdragon, rose, Dahlia Bulbs and Ranunculus.
Stationery
Invitation suite, accessories, and colors tied into royalty, vintage, and opulence.
