An Italian Countryside-Themed Wedding in Atlanta, GA

Aiyana and Nicholas met in 2011 when they both attended Penn State University. Nick was a year older but the two became fast friends as they both played for the varsity men’s and women’s volleyball teams.

“We had a lot of the same classes and shared the same interests outside of school and our respective sports. Friendship grew into love as we explored the possibility of dating. We dated for the duration of college but broke up because of distance as we both went on to play professional volleyball abroad”.

After some years, they never stopped thinking of one another and decided to give love another shot. The couple have been inseparable ever since. Aiyana and Nicholas tied the knot in a stunningly charming wedding in Atlanta, GA captured by Danielle Hollins of Forever Photography.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

By the time the day came, we were both pinching ourselves with excitement. Our wedding day was perfect. Butterflies and nerves quickly dissipated as we joined each other at the altar and were able to take in all of the fruits of our labor. Our team was amazing! Hair and makeup created such a fun atmosphere. Our planner and our photographer kept us on task and the day was able to flow beautifully. It really was a dream.

“When We Were Young” by Adele; we chose this song because it truly expressed the ups and downs of our love but also captured the bond we share after all of these years.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are looking forward to starting a family most, it is something we both have always wanted. We want to enjoy being newlyweds first but we are very excited for the future.
