A Timeless and Romantic Wedding in Decatur, GA

Almost 15 years ago, Latrice and Herbert were both guests at the same wedding. Her good friend from high school married her college sweetheart, who just happened to be related to Herbert’s sister-in-law. But, as fate would have it, Latrice and Herbert didn’t meet that day. They were just in the same place, at the same time.

Divine timing would eventually bring them back to Decatur, GA though. Then, in May 2021 the two randomly met online, and after a period of sporadic texts and phone tag they finally arranged a date. Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

Herbert: Time on our big day seemed to be sped up. Everything happened so fast. But in a good way. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The music was good, the food was good, the fellowship and, most importantly, my wife was beautiful and happy.

Latrice: After the wedding, lots of people ask, “Was it all a blur? Do you remember the details?”, and to their surprise my response has been I remember just about everything and everyone from moment to moment. It was beautiful! We had a relatively small wedding, so it was very intimate. I felt nothing but genuine love and happiness from my loved ones. Our wedding coordinator and wedding party made sure that we had zero stress that day so I could bask in every moment with my husband.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

Herbert: I am looking forward to building a healthy and happy forever together.

Latrice: Growing together, learning what works for us, and creating memories doing things with my forever best friend.
