Hanifa Launches Debut Bridal Collection “Love at First Sight”

Our journey with Hanifa Bridal began at the highly anticipated runway presentation, held at Salamander Resort, a secluded gem located in Virginia wine country. The brand hosted a wedding inspired experience where fashion and wedding industry enthusiasts marveled at the first ever look of the highly anticipated collection.

It was truly “Love At First Sight”.

Almost instantly after the presentation the world began buzzing about the beauty of the collection, as content began circulating with creators commenting on standout pieces, raising excitement for the public release.

Artfully designed by Hanifa’s Founder Anifa Mvuemba, the full collection is composed of both timeless and modern elements. By infusing brand signatures such as structured silhouettes and glamorous feather work with custom beading and draping, Anifa successfully intertwines the classic qualities of bridal fashion without compromising the bold and rebellious spirit of Hanifa. Each piece was inspired by the brand’s “commitment to self-discovery, self-acceptance, and love in all its forms, with emphasis on the importance of self-love and self-worth before marriage.” Anifa also speaks on “drawing inspirations from symbols of devotion and grace.” Anifa’s connection to her faith was made unapologetically clear during several moments of the runway presentation while orchestral instrumentals of Christian songs like “What a Beautiful Name” and “Jireh” played as the model’s walked, then her closing the show by pointing towards the sky to symbolize giving all glory to God for what we had all just witnessed.

The collection provides suitable looks for various moments of the bridal journey, from short looks for the bachelorette and showers, to gown options for ceremony and reception, and even bridal lingerie for bridal portraits and the honeymoon. In tandem with the various style types, the use of minimal to maximal details speaks to the changing wants of the modern bride, as her desired style may shift from one bridal moment to another. Anifa proudly states “We understand the significance of each moment in their lives and strive to be a brand that accompanies them every step of the way. We are honored to be a part of their special moments, and our debut bridal fashion collection is a testament to this commitment.”

The collection, now officially launched, includes ready to wear options available for Bride’s needing looks immediately, as well as made-to-order gowns that will take longer to receive but will be well worth the wait. Anifa also mentions the possibility of custom orders the future.
