Erin and Jason began dating in 2014 but first met in Los Angeles when they were children thanks to their families having known each other since the ‘80s. After graduating from colleges in the south and returning to L.A., they became much more than acquaintances, and their love has grown ever since. The lovely couple wed in the same neighborhood they were raised in, at the Ebell of Los Angeles, where for a night, Old Hollywood and New Hollywood became the same. Get inspired by their love story and romantic wedding day, captured by Alexandra Wallace Photography.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.
We were thrilled to host our wedding in our neighborhood and at a venue that generations of our families could have reverence for. Both of our parents were married in LA and our community means a lot to us. We wanted a very elegant evening that still felt local. Our goal was for every guest to feel like their best self, elegant and comfortable enough to tear up the dance floor, which we all did!
Jason: I thought I might be nervous, but I spent the day full of excitement and calmer than I expected.
Erin: I was so happy the day felt easier than I expected too, and spending the morning at home with my bridesmaids and women who I love really made me feel embraced. Seeing everyone happy was incredible.
Wedding song: “The Way” by Jill Scott. The lyrics evoke the giddy feeling of being in love and remind us of the best parts of our day being each other. It’s poetic and was so romantic to dance to.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Building our life as a family. We would love to have kids and expand the memories we make together.
