A Beautifully Elegant Engagement Session in Lagos, Nigeria

Chi Chi met Kismet at The Dime, a bar in Los Angeles, CA, on December 12, 2015. At that time, Chi Chi was living in LA as a travel nurse. Despite not feeling like going out, Chi Chi’s college girlfriend Camille convinced her to go with the promise of food afterwards. As soon as they entered the bar, Camille headed to the dance floor, leaving Chi Chi alone. Sitting at the bar, Chi Chi found herself beside Kismet. A conversation sparked between them, leading to an exchange of phone numbers and they ended the night dancing together.

Originally planning to stay in LA for 3 months, Chi Chi stayed for almost 2 years after meeting Kismet. They spent their days exploring southern California, going on memorable dates and taking their first international trip to Japan. The trip strengthened their bond and Chi Chi discovered Kismet’s caring and generous nature, making him a breath of fresh air. After deciding to pursue graduate school in Mississippi, they entered into a long-distance relationship with Kismet’s unwavering support.

Engagement Story

“Kismet worked with Biva Events and my planner A Conceal Affair to plan my proposal. We went to Nigeria and he said he wanted to take me out to a nice place. When we got to the restaurant, it was completely rented out and clearly decorated in such a beautiful way. There were violins playing and a woman handed me roses.

Kismet took my hand and walked me up to the stage, knelt down and asked for my hand in marriage. It was the most beautiful moment, intimate but yet still very thought out. I was extremely happy.”
