Engagement Sessions

A Fine Art Engagement Session in Washington, D.C.

Ryan and Ashley both attended Morgan State University in 2008. The next year, they met through a mutual friend and started dating during their sophomore year. However, after about a year of dating, they decided to end their relationship.  After graduating in 2012, the two took on adulthood post-college  in their own ways. In 2017 after reconnecting, the pair decided to give love another try. Taking the lessons they learned during the years they were apart, Ashley and Ryan were able to approach their new relationship differently the second time around.

Engagement story

After dating for four years, Ryan proposed on November 13, 2022 at  the Georgetown Waterfront in D.C. in front of over 30 friends and family  members. Ryan knew Ashley was the one when his car got totaled and his first thought was to call Ashley. Ashley knew Ryan was the one because  he loved her like Christ loved the church. He loved and chose her every  time. She used to have this recurring dream where she’d be at the altar of  her wedding and could never see the groom’s face. Then one day it was  clear that the person lifting her veil was Ryan.

What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?

Ashley and Ryan are looking forward to the moments after the ceremony when it’s just  them and it sinks in that they just did it. Also, celebrating with all their  loved ones and seeing their vision come together.

Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them many years of wedded bliss.
