In August of 2020, Skye and Jay met at a brunch held at Nick’s Restaurant. Ironically, during their first conversation they had a debate over engagement rings! Two months later, the two officially began dating and have been inseparable ever since. This past summer, the lovely couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Laguna Beach, California. Read more of their love story and check out the gorgeous details from their big day captured by Jasmine Marie Photography.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day. Include your most memorable moment.
Our wedding day was very intimate and filled with love!
Skye: I was surprised at how relaxed I was on our wedding day. I felt extremely happy to have finally gotten to the big day. My most memorable moment of the day was the few minutes we had to ourselves directly after the ceremony. We both did a little happy dance and breathed a sigh of relief that the hard part of the day was over.
Jay: I felt magical like this was the beginning of the rest of my life. My most memorable moment was having our first dance because the hard work was done and it was the first time I could hold my wife.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
Our wedding song was ‘Best Part’ by Daniel Caesar. We picked it because that was the first song Jay played/sang for me on his guitar when we first started dating.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
We are most excited to build a life together and eventually expand our family when the time is right.
Advice for a Bride/Groom on their wedding day:
Remember that your wedding day is a celebration of your love and not a spectacle for others to see. If things do not go exactly as planned (which is more common than you would think), remember what is most important is what the day represents.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them many years of wedded bliss!
