You know two wonderful people, introduce them to each other and instantly they’re a perfect match. It does not always happen that way but as fate would have it, for Brittany and Jayvon it did! In April 2016, Jay’s best friend, Jon and Brit’s mom, Shirley were talking at work. Jon told Brit’s mom that he had the perfect guy in mind for her daughter based on her description. After exchanging information and photos, Brittany and Jay went on their first date to see the X-Men movie. The couple realized they shared a love for comic books. Engagement story:
The day started off with a laser tag day date at I Play America. After the day date we went out for dinner at Son Cubano restaurant on the Hudson in Edgewater, New Jersey. We listened to a great live band and had delicious Latin cuisine. For dessert we went to Cafe Archetypus, the same place we went to on our first date. Cafe Archetypus is known for its romantic ambiance and mouthwatering desserts. Once we were done with dessert, we took a walk alongside the Hudson. With the beautiful NY skyline in the background. This moment and setting were the perfect time for me to pop the question, and the rest is history!

From the Bride:
The weather forecast was saying showers and the planner said we had to move the ceremony indoors. I prayed to God and fortunately the weather held up. During the ceremony I was nervous at first but was able to gather myself. I realized all of these people are my loved ones and they were here for me and my husband to be.
From the Groom:
My wedding experience was worrisome at first because of the weather. I had to calm my wife down and assure her that our wedding day will be good no matter what. The outcome was perfect. Everything went as planned; the venue, the food, the cake, the music-it was indeed the happiest day of my life.
Your best/most memorable moment:
Bride: Twirling my husband on the dance floor during our first dance.
Groom: Just taking it all in during the reception. Watching my lovely wife and loved ones having a great time dancing to the music and festivities.

The location of the wedding, right by Long Branch beach and the handmade pillows by Brittany’s aunt.

There will be things that go wrong but remember the wedding is about the love not the glamour.
