Jazmyn and Alexander met at a library on Drexel’s campus in 2011. Alex was shooting a documentary on hip hop that his frat brother was producing. He asked Jazmyn to be a part of it and their friendship blossomed from that moment on. The college coeds became an official couple in 2012 and have been together ever since. Almost three years later, Jazmyn and Alexander are planning to spend the rest of their lives together, with a brunch themed wedding next Spring. Engagement story from the bride- to -be:
It was MAGICAL! I thought I was going to brunch with my mom and sister. Little did I know, they were in on the surprise. I was led on a scavenger hunt throughout our meaningful places in Philly. The best clue was the second because the person that introduced us was waiting at the place he introduced us!
The Proposal Story from the Groom:
It was tough. Jazmyn is a very tough person to surprise but I knew it was worth it. I had a few plans that fell through so I decided to go romantic and do a scavenger hunt. The toughest part was getting other people to be at different locations with the clues I gave them. I had a speech but forgot it when she arrived.
What makes your love special?
We trust each other through the long distance over the years. We are so different but complement each other. We’re so invested in seeing each other succeed. There’s no doubt that we are meant for each other.
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
Waking up to him every day excites me. I just want us to take on life together and learn from each other every day.
Have you started planning your wedding?
Yes, so far we’ve made payments on our venue, booked a DJ, took our engagement pictures, and booked our photographer.
