Engagement story

In September 2015, Liana was scheduled to travel from Atlanta to California for work. At the end of the trip Wayne and a few friends, met Liana in Napa Valley to enjoy a couple days in wine country. The last day of their trip, Wayne planned a day of site seeing in San Francisco. The day ended at Land’s End Trail, a park with a stunning view overlooking the San Francisco shoreline and the Golden Gate Bridge. While there, Wayne got on one knee and proposed.

From the Groom:

The morning of the wedding I hosted a golf tournament at a nearby golf club in Negril. The group had a really fun time, which made for a great start to a memorable day. Before I knew it, I was back at the hotel getting dressed and trying to figure out how to tie a Windsor knot. For our first look, I met Liana on Rockhouse’s famous “jumping bridge” overlooking the ocean. She was beautiful. The whole night was a lot of fun. In addition to our signature cocktails, we included a signature shooter, which was a spicy shot that included scotch bonnet pepper sauce. Once the bartenders started lighting them on fire, it became a party.

From the Bride:

I was excited and anxious on my big day. While getting ready I played relaxing reggae music to help calm my nerves, but not even Bob Marley could help me relax. It wasn’t until my first look with Wayne that my nerves went away and I suddenly felt at ease. We had a beautiful wedding. Our ceremony and reception took place on the cliffs overlooking the ocean at sunset in Negril, Jamaica. Food was great, rum was flowing, music was pumping and the vibes were so good. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

What makes your love special?

With our love and faith in one another, we uplift each other to be better, more thoughtful and compassionate people.

Your most memorable moment:

Our wedding ceremony was set to begin at sunset. We were expecting scenic views and a beautiful sunset, but what we didn’t expect was the sunset cruises to be passing by, and as if on cue, start cheering at the exact moment I started walking down the aisle. I didn’t want to leave them hanging, so as I walked down the aisle I lifted my bouquet to cheer them right back. It was an incredibly fun and memorable start to a beautiful ceremony.
