Mojisola and Kingsley crossed paths in Atlanta, GA during the heart of the pandemic in 2021, a time when everything felt uncertain but somehow, their connection was immediate and undeniable. They share more details about the beautiful beginnings of their love story: “Our first date was at a restaurant called “Gypsy Kitchen,” where we talked for hours. Neither of us wanted to go home, so we decided to keep the magic alive by heading to another popular restaurant in the city to continue the night. From that night on, we never went a single day without talking. From the very first moment we met, we knew there was something rare and beautiful between us.”

Engagement story
On December 23, 2023, Kingsley made his way to Birmingham, AL, to share an early Christmas celebration with my family. Initially, we had plans to enjoy a lunch outing with my sister (who was in on the proposal). However, as the day unfolded, the plans shifted, and Kingsley decided that we would have an intimate early dinner instead.
As we arrived at the restaurant, the staff, in on Kingsley’s secret, presented me with a stunning bouquet of flowers, which completely caught me off guard. After dinner, we stepped out into the festive courtyard of the restaurant. Under the soft glow of the holiday lights, Kingsley turned to me, dropped to one knee, and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. To celebrate the joyous occasion, we gathered with friends and family at a cozy reception hosted by my sister.
