In June 2020, Jett and Frantzky found love in the friendly skies! They were on a connecting flight where Jett was heading to California and Frantzky was heading to Colorado. Jett shares, “I thought he probably wasn’t into me because he didn’t offer to help put my bag up but he later said he was just a little too stunned to speak. We barely talked the whole flight (mostly because I was sleeping). However, when the plane landed in Dallas, I woke up and Frantzky hit me with his best opener…”How was your nap?” It worked. We exchanged numbers and he walked me to my next flight.”
Frantzky came to L.A. the following week to take her out on a date and the rest is history. The couple dated for two years and got engaged on the Amalfi Coast in August 2022. Their gorgeous bohemian elopement, captured by Meagan Wilken, is currently featured in the spring 2024 issue of Black Bride Magazine. Get inspired by their unique wedding day!

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.
After staying up all night writing our vows, we barely slept before waking up to a beautiful sunrise over Lake Wakatipu. We did our first look on the balcony of a beautiful lakeside house we rented in Queenstown. That’s when it really hit us that we were preparing for the biggest day of our lives. It was a blurry mix of nerves and excitement. We blasted a playlist of our favorite songs along on the drive.
We felt on top of the world even before our helicopter took off and headed up toward the mountain where we would be married. The views from the helicopter were so incredible, not a single cloud was in the sky. We landed and the Reverend began our ceremony. We said our vows on the mountaintop and popped champagne to celebrate. It was simple, adventurous and full of love – an excellent representation of our union.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
We are both so grateful to have a partner for all of life’s adventures. We’re looking forward to supporting each other’s successes, helping each other grow into our purpose, creating a family, and shaping it together. Also, sharing our love and light.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish them many years of wedded bliss.
