In 2018, while both were living in California, fate stepped in to bring Marlo and Kevin together in the most unexpected way. After Marlo made a playful Facebook post joking that she was “ready to meet her ‘he’” while wearing a T-shirt that read “she,” a close friend chimed in with, “I’ve got the perfect guy for you to meet.” He was right. What began as a lighthearted moment turned into a beautiful connection that has grown over six years—and Marlo and Kevin have been together ever since.
The couple tied the knot in a romantic wedding at The Greystone Estate in Ball Ground, Georgia. See all of the beautiful details, captured by Lydia McRae and Teko Lewis.
Bride: Marlo Hall, 57, Flight Attendant
Groom: Kevin Pearson, Retired Battalion Chief
Photography by:Lydia McRae and Teko Lewis
Place of Residence: Suwanee, Georgia
Wedding Date: September 14, 2025
Wedding Location: The Greystone Estate, Ball Ground, Georgia
Wedding Theme: We went with a Southern Romance theme because of the natural beauty of Greystone. Our venue had a perfect blend of timeless elegance and southern charm. We wanted the day to feel soft, romantic and welcoming with touches of pink blush, since I am an AKA I knew I wanted pink throughout. We added dusty rose and silver, From the floral arrangements to the candlelit tables, every detail reflected classic Southern warmth.
Honeymoon Destination: Secrets Resort and Spa, Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Engagement story : It was a little different than most. Last September, we were driving and out of the blue Kevin says, “I think we should just get married now”, but there was no ring, just a conversation, so he waited until the week after Thanksgiving, we were in Charlotte visiting my parents at my bonus sister’s home and Kevin began talking about the importance of family and being together, then told me to look in my coat pocket and there was my engagement ring!
From the Bride: (briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how you felt on your big day):
On her wedding day, Marlo felt incredibly happy and surprisingly calm. After a year of planning, it was surreal to see the day finally arrive. Her bridesmaids made everything seamless—from the bridal shower in California to the big day—and her hostesses, Shante and Karis, along with her coordinator, Christy, ensured everything flowed effortlessly. Because of them, she was able to relax and soak in every moment. Although there was no time for a first look, seeing Kevin in a blush pink tux—something he never wears—put the biggest smile on her face. It was an unforgettable day, everything she had hoped for and more.
From the Groom: (briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how you felt on your big day)
The day started out a bit hectic as Kevin worked to keep the groomsmen on schedule, but once they were in the suite, it was all camaraderie—helping each other get dressed and making sure everyone looked sharp. Walking down the aisle felt surreal, and as he watched Marlo come toward him, he was struck not only by how beautiful she looked, but by the deeper realization of the incredible gift he was receiving.
Your best/most memorable moment: One of the most memorable moments from our wedding was watching my Mom perform a Hawaiian wedding dance for us. It was so beautiful and heartfelt. It was filled with so much love, grace and meaning. Watching her dance was truly special and something we’ll cherish forever.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
“I’m Sure It’s You” –The song reflected our love, knowing we were each other’s person, our journey and the promise of forever.
