Martha and Richard’s love story is one for the ages. From the moment Richard and Martha met at a professional networking event, there was an instant spark between them. They spent the entire night chatting, laughing, and getting to know each other. A few months later Richard asked Martha out on their most memorable date. They went out for dinner and then ended up at one of Toronto’s hottest spots, where they danced the night away. After dating briefly, they realized the timing wasn’t quite right, and went their separate ways.
In 2020, during the pandemic, the two reconnected and spent more time getting to know each other on a deeper level. In December 2022, Martha and Richard took a trip to Virginia to visit some friends for Christmas. Richard had been planning a surprise proposal for Martha for weeks. After a lovely dinner, they returned to their hotel room, and to Martha’s surprise, Richard got down on one knee to ask her to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes!
