A Glam Destination Wedding in Portugal

Faith and Joshua’s love story began in the most unexpected way—during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown. Introduced through a mutual friend, their connection first sparked online, with what seemed like casual conversations over social media. But fate had other plans. In a surprising twist, they discovered they lived in the same neighborhood.

With the world slowed down, the two began taking long walks together, using that quiet time to truly get to know one another without distractions. Those moments—simple yet profound—laid the foundation for a deep, meaningful bond. What began as a friendship soon blossomed into a love neither of them saw coming, but both recognized as something special. Faith and Joshua celebrated the next chapter of their lives with a luxurious wedding ceremony in Portugal, captured by Mesus Studios.

Wedding Theme/Motif/Inspiration: Our wedding theme was inspired by the idea of a fairytale — a blend of classic romance, elegance, and timeless beauty. We envisioned a day that felt magical and dreamlike with every detail. From the soft glow of candlelight to the delicate florals, we wanted everything to exude an air of sophistication while maintaining an ethereal charm. Ultimately, our goal was to create a wedding that would not only be unforgettable but would feel as though it transcended time, making us and our loved ones feel like part of a fairytale that lasts forever.

Honeymoon Destination: We haven’t fully planned our honeymoon yet, but we’re looking into a getaway toward the end of the year. We’re both dreaming of somewhere tropical with crystal-clear waters and plenty of relaxation. Seychelles and Zanzibar are at the top of our list, but honestly, the world is our oyster right now. 

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day. 

Faith and Joshua’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. Choosing to plan it themselves, they poured love into every detail to create an experience that felt deeply personal and authentic. The stunning venue provided a perfect backdrop, making their fairytale vision come to life.

From the joyful anticipation that filled the morning to the powerful moment a rainbow appeared over the fountains—an unmistakable sign of God’s presence—the day was filled with beauty and meaning. As they exchanged vows, time seemed to stand still. The evening ended with a spectacular fireworks display, the perfect finale to a truly unforgettable celebration surrounded by the people they love most.

Wedding song, and the significance of the song: 

“Back at One” by Brian McKnight – this song holds a special place in our hearts because it perfectly encapsulates the love and commitment we have for each other. The lyrics speak to the depth of our relationship – starting from the beginning and building something beautiful and lasting, step by step. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come together and the promise we made to continue growing and loving each other, no matter the challenges life throws our way. It’s a classic, timeless love song, which aligns with the overall elegance and timeless feel we wanted for our wedding day.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? 

We’re most looking forward to embarking on this beautiful journey of life together. One of the things we’re especially excited about is traveling and exploring the world. There’s so much out there to see, and we can’t wait to make memories in new places, experience different cultures, and share those adventures side by side. We want to build something strong together – whether that’s through shared experiences, achieving our personal and collective dreams, or simply growing in love.

In the long term, we’re also looking forward to starting a family. The thought of continuing our legacy and raising children together is something we both deeply cherish.
