While working out at the gym one day in June of 2021, Nancy and Israel crossed paths. After Israel showed her how to use the gym’s equipment, the two struck up a conversation and ended up exchanging numbers. The attraction was so strong that Nancy told her sister she thought she had just met her husband. It had been prophesied that her husband would be a doctor, but Nancy had no idea that their families would also come from the same region of Nigeria.

Engagement story
We got engaged on July 23, 2022. Israel and my family planned the perfect engagement party for us. The decorations were a dream come true, with the huge Marry Me letter sign, rose petals leading up to the area where he would propose, and a heart of rose petals where we would be standing. I felt like I was in a movie scene. Israel told me that we were going out to dinner to celebrate my acceptance into the doctoral program in nursing before we arrived at the engagement party. He coordinated with my family to ensure that all of my family and friends were present. It was such a magical evening!
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding?
I’m most excited about becoming the best wife my partner could ask for.
